Cedric Benson Arrested; Charges Included Resisting

As first reported on the web site of Austin-based KVUE television, Cedric Benson was arrested Saturday evening on Lake Travis by officers with the Texas Park and Wildlife and Lower Colorado River Association.
Benson was arrested for boating while intoxicated and resisting arrest, both Class B misdemeanors.
He is currently out on a $14,500 bail.
A spokeswoman for the Lower Colorado River Authority, which patrols the river, confirmed the arrest Sunday morn ... |

Marvin Harrison Interviewed In Shooting Investigation

In what on the surface appears to be a rather surprising story, veteran receiver Marvin Harrison was interviewed by police about a shooting near his North Philadelphia bar this week.
According to the Associated Press, Philadelphia Police Lt. Frank Vanore said the investigation of Tuesday's shooting was continuing. Harrison has not been arrested or charged.

Go ahead and add Anquan Boldin's name to the fast-growing list of players (a list headed by Bengals wideout Chad Johnson and Giants tight end Jeremy Shockey) hoping to escape their current circumstances.
In Boldin's case, teams have inquired about trading for him -- and his agent has asked if the team would be willing to part with him.

Two seasons after being the NFL's MVP, Shaun Alexander is looking for work. This after the Seattle Seahawks released the franchise's all-time leading rusher on Tuesday.
